  1. 1 1/2 cup foxnuts (makhana)
  2. 3/4 cup barnyard millet/samo rice
  3. 1 medium red ripe tomato
  4. 3 spicy green chillies
  5. 1 " ginger
  6. Salt to taste/sendha salt
  7. 2 tbsp finely chopped fresh coriander leaves
  8. 1 tsp cummin seeds
  9. Ghee for roasting
  10. For coconut peanut chutney
  11. 1/2 cup coconut pieces
  12. 2 tbsp raw peanuts
  13. 1 green chilli
  14. 1/2 " ginger
  15. 2 tbsp finely chopped fresh coriander leaves
  16. Salt to taste/sendha salt
  17. Fresh curd as required to make chutney

Instructions to make to make Foxnuts Dosa / Makhana Dosa

  1. Wash and soak foxnuts, samo rice separately for 1 hour.
  2. Grind green chillies,ginger, soaked foxnuts, samo rice, chopped tomato, corainder leaves in mixer jar to make smooth batter. Transfer it in mixing bowl. Add salt, cummin seeds and chopped fresh coriander leaves. Add little water to make dosa batter. Mix well and keep aside for 1/2 hour.
  3. Meanwhile make coconut peanut chutney. Add peanut coconut pieces, green chilli, ginger,salt, corainder leaves. Grind coarsely. Add fresh curd and grind it again to make smooth chutney.
  4. Heat Dosa griddle (tawa). Grease with oil, wipe with tissue paper. Pour a laddleful of prepared foxnuts dosa batter. Spread in circular motion to make round dosa. Drizzle melted ghee. Cook on slow medium flame till crispy golden. Flip over and roast another side. Similarly prepare all.
  5. Serve/Relish delicious hot Foxnuts Dosa with coconut-peanut chutney.
