  9. 2 tsp Oil

  11. 750 grams Chicken
  12. 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  13. 4-5 Alo Bukhara
  14. 3 medium onions(fried)
  15. 3 medium tomatoes(diced)
  16. 2 tsp Salt or to taste
  17. 2 tsp Red chili powder
  18. 2 tsp Garam masala powder
  19. 1 cup Yogurt
  20. half cup Oil
  21. Veggies
  22. 2 medium potatoes(cubed and fried)
  23. 1/2 capsicum (cubed and fried)
  24. 1 cup boiled peas

Steps to make to make Anokhi biryani

  1. Boil rice, add all the whole spices.
  2. Heat 1/2 cup oil add fried onion (keep some for later use) and tomatoes (keep some for later use)
  3. Add chicken and 1 tsp ginger garlic paste. Cook for 4-5 mins. Then add 2 tsp red chili powder.
  4. Add 2 tsp garam masala powder, 2 tsp salt and 1 cup yogurt. Mix everything really well.
  5. Cover and cook until chicken is tender, then add alo Bukhara and cook until oil comes on top(or water completely dries)
  6. Now layer the biryani.
    First layer is of rice then chicken with masala then rice.
  7. Then place the fried potatoes, fried capsicum, boiled chick peas, some tomatoes.
  8. Then a layer of rice, the remaining masala, and chopped mint and chopped fresh coriander.
    (you can put green chilies also if you want it more spicy)
  9. Add the remaining fried onion on top, some food color(I have used orange and yellow color)
    Cover and give it a dum for 10-15 minutes.
  10. Serve garma garam with raita
