  9. 1/2 tsp Black pepper powder
  10. 2 cups Beaten curd
  11. 1/4 tsp sugar
  12. 1/4 tsp red chilli powder
  13. For Tempering
  14. 1 tsp oil
  15. 2 Whole red chilies
  16. 1 tsp Jeera/ cumin seeds
  17. 1 spring Curry leaves
  18. 1 tbsp peanuts

Instructions to make to make Falahari Dahi Wada

  1. Dry roast foxnuts till crisp.
    Grind them too to a coarse powder.
  2. In a deep pan, take 1 cup water and add salt.
    Let it boil
  3. Then Add samak rice powder and cook on medium until it forms a dough consistency.
  4. Switch off the flame and let it cool slightly
  5. Take boiled & mashed potatoes, in a bowl add samak rice dough, ground foxnuts, green chilies and ginger paste, salt, pepper powder and chopped coriander.
  6. Mix well and make wadas taking small portions of the prepared dough
  7. Can wet hands if it’s sticking
  8. Heat oil in a wok and fry the wadas till crisp
    and golden from all sides.
  9. Make sure you fry them in batches and do not overcrowd the kadhai.
  10. Dish out all the vadas on absorbent paper on a plate.
  11. For the tempering,

    heat some oil in a tadka pan.
    Once it is nicely hot, add cumin. As it splutters, add whole dried red chilli and some peanuts

    Beat or sieve the thick curd to an even consistency
  13. Add salt and sugar and give a nice mix
  14. Place two wadas in the serving plate

    Top it with some curd and sprinkle blk pepper and red chilli powder.
  15. Pour the tempering over it
