- 250 gm dhokla flour,
- as required lukewarm water,
- as per taste salt, garam masala,
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric,
- 1 tsp chilli powder,
- 1 tsp chilli -garlic paste,
- 1 tsp til,
- as required oil, mustard
- 1 tbsp Jeera,
- 6-7 curry leaves,
- 3 cup rice,
- 1/2 cup moong dal,
- as required coriander leaves
- 1 cup tuvar dal,
- 1 cup chana dal,
- 3 tbsp curd,
- 1 red chilli,
- 1 tbsp soda
- as required Pan,dry sand
Instructions to make to make Handvo
- Grind all the dal and prepare a powder form of it.
Add dhokla flour in it.
Add 3 spoon curd,a pinch of salt and keep it for a whole night.

- In the morning when it is fermented add salt, garam masala, turmeric,soda,chilli powder, chilli garlic paste.
Mix all these ingredients properly and pour it into the vessel.

- Put dry sand inside the pan and put it on the stove.
Put the required vessel on it and pour the previous prepared vessel on it.
Put lid on the vessel and let it cook for 1 hour.

- Take another small vessel and pour oil in it. When the oil is hot do the tempering of til, mustard, jeera,neem leaves, coriander leaves

- After 1 hour open the lid and pour this tempering mixture on top of it. Cover the lid and let it cook for 2 minutes.
- Your delicious Handavo is ready with green chutney.
