  2. Add garlic paste, green chilies and sauté for a minute.
  3. Add chicken and cook for 5-6 minutes.
  4. Add black pepper, cloves, cinnamon, black cardamom, cumin, bay leaf, fennel seeds, coriander powder, ginger, salt, red chilies and star anise. Mix it well.
  5. Add yogurt and cook until oil comes out.
  6. Add water and bring it to boil.
  7. Cover and cook for 8 to 10 minutes.
  8. Add socked rice, cover and cook until water dries out.
  9. Add black cumin seed, cover and cook for 10-15 minutes on a low flame.
  10. Serve hot with raita and salad.
